2025 was a very special year for us. Not because we started breeding for the first time – we've been passionately doing that for years – but because we took many big steps that brought The Rare Jungle to a new level.

It was a year full of development, new opportunities and many wonderful moments with our animals and customers.

Company foundation & official launch of The Rare Jungle

The most important milestone was undoubtedly the official founding of our company .
What began as a passion long ago has this year become its own professional project, which we have built with a lot of heart and soul.

This also includes planning, responsibility and the ambition to make everything legally sound and transparent – ​​an important step for high-quality, reputable breeding in Germany.

Our online shop is going live

Another highlight: the launch of our own online shop .
With clear structures, high-quality watercolor paintings, detailed information on husbandry, and a blog that regularly provides insights into our work, we can now reach many more people.

We were particularly pleased with the exchange with new customers, interested parties and other breeders – many great contacts were made this year.

New terrarium & modern breeding facility

This year, the breeding groups have been given a new, even more natural terrarium – with plenty of space, a real rainforest feel and optimal technology.

Our breeding facility was also completely renovated:

• More overview
• more stable conditions
• better control
• Professional breeding, as expected in premium breeding facilities

Perfected shipping (at any temperature)

A large part of our work this year has been optimizing our shipping.
We conducted countless test runs – in cold, in warm conditions, in different box sizes, with heat packs, CO₂ measurement and everything else that goes with it.

The result: a shipping concept that is safe – regardless of whether it's +25 °C or -5 °C outside.
Our animals should always arrive stress-free and safely.

A strong breeding year

Even though we didn't start this year, 2025 was a particularly successful and stable year for our animals.
Healthy offspring, stable development phases and consistently high quality of our animals show us that we are on the right track.

Looking ahead to 2026 – here's what's next!

2026 will be a really big year for us.
We are expanding our breeding program and growing step by step towards becoming a premium breeding provider in Germany .

New species

We plan to expand our breeding program with two highlights:

• Theloderma ryabovi
• Theloderma gordoni

Both are rare species that place the highest demands on their care and breeding – exactly our aim and our approach:
Every frog must have it as good as possible.

Plant breeding begins – rare & high-quality

Another major goal:
Our own plant breeding program is starting up!

We will be offering the first truly rare species – suitable for tropical terrariums and, of course, for keeping Theloderma.

Product range expansion

The Rare Jungle is set to offer even more in 2026.
This includes:

• Humic substances (alder cones, Indian almond leaves, burbot tea)
  
• special rearing containers
• Accesories
• Plant
• Moss, roots, branches
• and everything you need for the perfect care of moss frogs

Our goal:
A place where everything truly comes together – from breeding to accessories.
